My mom had her LAST chemotherapy treatment yesterday!!! Happy day for the Anichini family :) We found out the the tumor is basically gone. A baseball size tumor has pretty much been demolished. How amazing is that?? It is such a blessing that my mom is responding to treatment and that is seems to be doing its job. Now we wait for about 5-6 weeks before she will have her mastectomy and reconstructive surgery in the end of June. We have a lot of work to do till then, building her strength and making her nice and strong for surgery. I am so grateful for all her doctors, surgeons and nurses that have helped us through everything. Cancer Treatment Centers of America is such an amazing place, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am so grateful that my mom is able to go there!!
